Like so many others, sadly lockdown brought a halt to our travel plans in 2020 and 2021.
We spent the time reassessing what we really wanted in our lives and dreaming of our next adventure. Our travels instead were focused on exploring New Zealand as we waiited for the borders to open. We came to realise that life was short and a couple of weeks a year on holiday would never be enough. We made the deciision to retire young and travel the world.
While its common to have a gap year travelling the global, we started Boarding At Gate 50 in 2022 with the goal of inspiring others to travel in the best years of our lives - our 50s.
Our hope is that this blog can help make your next travel experience the best one yet.
