Carvoeiro/The Algarve Region

The Algarve region is a hugely popular tourist destination. It's easy to see why - great beaches, great weather, great food...That's a lot of great's and it's only a few of the them!

We came here for a couple of days to slow things down and relax a little. We were so fortunate with the continuing good weather and also our selection of accommodation which was exactly what we needed.

Quinta dos Oliveiras is set back from the sea a few kilometres inland from Carvoeiro. Beautiful rooms surrounded by lovely gardens and a nice pool. We had a great couple of days there. A big thank you to our wonderful host Cristina.

We got out and explored Carvoeiro a little and also visited Lagos where I managed to get a quick dip in the sea while the weather is still warm.
